Morris Coker Inc.

In 1970 O.Q. Morris and George Coker were actively engaged selling underground and process equipment to the coal industry in West Virginia, Western Virginia and Eastern Kentucky. They formed Morris-Coker, Inc to serve the coal market with numerous lines of process equipment. They knew the territory and what it took to earn business; they maintained close personal relationships with their customers.

Having studied the industry leader they knew that availability and service were key. They inventoried parts to get started and later tried to always have the right parts on hand, when customers needed them. Because the prep plants run 24/7, Morris-Coker, Inc organized the business to handle emergencies around the clock. Customers depend on Morris-Coker, Inc to anticipate their needs; which requires knowing each individual application (by name) the wear life and then stocking accordingly. Service includes a shop that can completely rebuild any Weir Mineral pump running in the coal market. Good relationships with freight and power transmission companies balance the Morris-Coker, Inc package. Morris-Coker, Inc represents other leading brands of complimentary coal process equipment, which are upstream or downstream of the slurry pumps. In-house technical expertise runs deep at Morris Coker; adding value for customers.
